As you may have heard, MIC reached its goal of raising $10,000 through Pozible for a much needed new PA, stage and lighting kit for our new campus. We are holding an information and get together evening for students new to Music Industry College in 2015.
This evening gives new students a chance to meet and mingle with each other and parents have the opportunity to meet with staff and other new parents.
Students will be able to collect their Student Packs for 2015 on this evening. If you are unable to attend please let us know so your pack can be sent in the mail.

The Queensland Government’s Next Step survey report for 2014 has just been released. This is a summary of the destinations of MIC students that completed Year 12 in 2013, and you can download the PDF here.
MIC will be running a TAFE at Schools information evening on Tuesday 26 August from 6pm to 7pm. This information session will be held at MIC and conducted by MIC student support officer, Chloe.
All interested current and future parents and students are invited to attend.

Parent/Teacher interviews will be held on Wednesday 30th July from 4.30pm to 8pm at MIC. We will be in contact with those parents that teachers have requested interviews with.
The MIC fundraising campaign, Brick In The Wall officially launched recently at our Beatles Night at the Old Museum.
The Brick In The Wall campaign aims to raise $50,000 through pledges to assist in the building and furnishing costs of creating our new education facility at 38 Berwick Street, Fortitude Valley.
Pledge levels of Gold, Silver and Bronze are available, as follows:
- Gold – $500 – Supporter name on plate placed on a brick in the MIC courtyard and on MIC website
- Silver – $250 – Name on MIC Appreciation list displayed in courtyard and on MIC website
- Bronze – $100 – Name on appreciation list on MIC website
All donations are tax deductible through “MICS Ltd School Building Fund”. If you would like to contribute to the Brick In The Wall, please email info@mic.org.au or call the office on 07 3852 3074.
Well done to the MIC AFL team , the Griffins, who finished the season with 6 wins and 2 losses – a marked improvement on the last season (0 and 8).
An obvious highlight was the team playing at half time at the ‘Gabba during the Lions and Giants game.
A special thank you to teacher, Charlie Thomson for his guidance and support to the team throughout the seasons! We’re all so proud of each player and can’t wait for the next season.
